Plot:
Elizabeth is a dreamer, but is lost about what she wants to do with her life. She has had more jobs than she can count and is yet to find something that gives her a feeling of purpose or passion, especially with so many opportunities closed to women of her day. That is until she learns of the exploits of one Amelia Earhart and so decides to take to the skies herself. What unfolds is an adventure unlike any she could imagine, as she joins the first female pilots association, The Ninety-Nines, befriending Earhart and other pioneers and eventually serving a staring role in World War Two.
I am Ninety Nine is a vivid exploration of the early years of flight as told through the heroines of the 1930s. It builds upon and is inspired by real research and events, and brings to life the heroes of our past as never before seen. It explores themes of women’s rights, early socialist politics, liberation, forbidden queer romance and most importantly what it means to pursue one’s dreams without reservation.

This novel is expected in 2027, with a manuscript slated for the Fall of 2026. This project is currently at the active research phase, but takes a lesser priority than Liberation.
